My natural instinct as a designer is to create a functional design that has no more and no less then what is necessary to convey the appropriate message. I have a tendency to push myself until I reach what my artistic intuition tells me is a professional quality design. I believe that professional quality design comes about through communication. My approach to design always begins with research of key words and imagery related to the design. The second step is when I put pencil to paper in order to start to flesh out my ideas. I generally sketch until I have two or three ideas that are ready to move to the next steps, which include adding color and importing the idea into design software such as Photoshop or Illustrator.
